What Is Reiki?
Reiki, pronounced ‘ray-key’, is a Japanese name consisting of 2 words Rei and Ki meaning spirituality guided life energy. (commonly known as Universal Life Energy), an energy which animates us all and is found all around us. Reiki is a form of spiritual healing using “universal life energy” channeled through the practitioner to the recipient. Reiki helps to harmonize body, mind and spirit. Reiki has no religious affiliation.
Reiki Treatment-Session
Ina session, one is fully clothed, lying on a table or seated. You remain fully clothed. The Reiki practitioner places their hands on or above your body in changing positions. A treatment can last from a few minutes to an hour or longer depending on the treatment required. There is no pressure on the body making ideal for treating all ages and conditions, sometimes hands are held away from the physical body. The energy flows wherever it is needed (spiritually guided) and is usually felt as a warm sensation or tingling in the body.
Receiving Reiki is a very soothing and relaxing experience.
Reiki As An Effective Healing Method
Reiki is often used for a variety of ailments and dis-ease such as: reducing stress, relieving pain, headache, intestinal distress, back problems, asthma, menstrual maladies, sinus problems, anxiety and more.
